This little house was my project for this past weekend. I'm not sure it's finished as I'm not completely happy with it, if nothing else it still needs a bit of polishing. I was going for a carved bone look.
I put a surprise inside! Those of you familiar with Tejae Floyd's encased hearts will recognize that I have adapted her technique for this house. There's a link to her blog on the right side of this page.

Faerie Houses and Voodoo Dollies
I've been working hard in my studio the last few days. These faerie houses are from drawings that I did for an art book. I've thought for a long time that they would translate well into polymer clay pieces. The "voodoo" dolls, on the other hand were something I started around last Halloween. I liked them and have worked on them here and there since; they're getting progressively more detailed. Maybe they'll end up on Etsy. The lovely Ponsawan made one into a ring.
